Bike carrier recommendation?

We have a 2018 Winnebago Vista 27PE. We love the coach, especially after we installed a set of front and rear Roadmaster stabilizers. This suspension upgrade has made a tremendous difference in handling and reducing wind buffeting effect from 18 wheelers and wind gusts. We tow a Fiat Abarth with auxiliary braking and we just purchased a Roadmaster dual hitch receiver so we can load 2 bikes on the receiver between the coach and the tow vehicle. Question: Can anyone recommend an RV rated bike carrier for this application? We have 2 TREK bikes and we want a high quality bike carrier to protect the bikes from undue swing and vibration while towing. Thank you in advanve for any responses. This is a great website for RVers.

We purchased a Swagman "XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitch".. With this rack you can tighten the rack to the hitch to minimize the "bounce" as you are driving down the road. The constant bouncing up & down can do significant damage. It also has the option to add a section so you can carry 4 bikes if needed. We also purchased Swagman's "Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks.

We too have a 2020 27PE and love it, just picked it up a month ago.

We don't have this rack yet but are planning on getting one soon for our 2 Lectric e-bikes. My brother-in-law has one for his 2 Rad e-bikes and says it is the best one of the 6 that he has tried. It may be overkill if you aren't planning on heavy e-bikes, but if there is that possibility in the future you'd be ready for them. They are specifically designed for RV use. He suggests getting a hitch clamp also.

Hope this is useful.

We use a Thule XTR Pro 2 for a similar application and it has worked well for us. Rated for RV use and up to 60 pounds per bike. Mounts into the receiver then tightens up without tools so there is no extra play.

Swagman E-Spec Black Hitch Mount Bike Rack https://www.swagman.net/products/espec-rv-approved. Approved for motorhome, vehicle (toad), fifth wheel trailer and travel trailer. We have used it on our motorhome, fifth wheel trailer and toad. It costs < $500, is rock solid, locks bike frame to the rack for security and traveling, wheel straps secures the wheels on the rack and has a hitch pin that screws into the receiver making a very tight and secure connection which avoids any movement.

We like our Swagman XC2 also. The only issue I had was the holes to pass a lock through on the ratcheting hold down arms. I used a drill to open the hole just enough to get a standard size master lock through the holes.

All good suggestions so far. I've got the baby brother to this one for my pickup and am very impressed.
