Hey all I have a camplux camp shower. I pump water from the lake through a filter with an old shureflo 12v pump and up to this shower. If I’m pumping water up from the lake and out through a hose with nothing stopping it, it flows forever. If I attach that hose to my camp shower it runs for a bit. Then stops. I have to almost let the pump “cool down” before it’ll start pumping again. This wasn’t always the case. In the beginning I was taking nice 5-10 minute showers. Did the pump blow? Do I need a new pump? Not sure why it started doing this. I tried to attach a video of the process but it’s not working. If you are able to help or have some answers and would like to see a video of what’s happening please pm me. I’d be forever grateful! Thanks in advance.

Have you verified there is no blockage and that includes the filter? I would say "Yes!" to the new pump. More important, you probably need a bigger pump. You have likely exceeded the current pumps capability for distance/rise, causing it to not be able to meet your demands, including resistance.

Suspicion would be algae or trash in the line, stops the check valves from sealing which stops the pump action. A pump/fan/blower is much more sensitive to any restriction on intake in linear results vs output restrictions, but check valves not working stops all. BEST is large screens on intake and filter on output side? Disassembly/ cleaning of all may reveal the cause, to include shower head holes?
Pump also needs to be as low as possible, as suction is NOT that type pumps strong point. Good Luck
