Changing Tires with Tyron Bands
I have Tyron bands on my steer tires. One of the tires needs to be replaced. Do the bands have to come off to change the tire or is it just like a normal tire change? All the videos just show how to install the bands.

Yes the bands should be removed to allow the bead to drop into the well. Just the thing the bands were designed to prevent.
I have changed two sets of tires and the tire shops removed the bands without the special tools, that Tyron sells.

Did they need the spider tool to remove it?

If your tires are 315 or larger I believe they’ll come off the rim with bands still in place.

They will need to be removed. I believe they are a Allen Head Socket. Be a little while but helped change mine at a Pilot Truck Stop
