I have this one and it has worked well, not really fancy or high tec but will provide you with all you need for a dash camera.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cobra-CDR...h-GPS/38041550 Amazon has them as well, if you do a google search you will get a lot of sellers.

I have the Rexing V1 Dash Cam and added it's GPS antenna module which adds my speed to teh video. I also purchased the hard wire kit.

Camera was about $90
GPS was $30
Hardwire kit about $10

Not included was teh SD card which I think was about $30. Go with their recommended card as others don't read/write fast enough and will not work.

Wired to an ignition hot wire it comes on when I start and off when I shut the truck down. After about 18 months of use it's still going strong.

Rexing may have a newer model out now.

Yea, you question caused me to revisit Amazon today.

There are newer models and "packages" that include everything I have, but it pushes well past your $150

I added one of these to the rear window just in case. Already had one on the front.

I had a Garmin 20 in our toad that I switched to the motorhome as needed.
This year I decided to go for a new Garmin 45 that was regular $199 and on sale for Black Friday at $149 to mount permanently in the motorhome.
I'm impressed, it's half the size of the 20 and it comes with a Loooong power cord so I could hard wire it into the fuse panel to an ignition on live connection.
Has all the regular Garmin features plus a couple of new ones like being able to wirelessly download files to your phone. Excellent device, well worth the price.

I use Nexar in my car. Camera is about 80+tax (with $20 amazon card back after you use if for 100 miles). The app is really what makes it. I was able to hardwire it to my rear view mirror power, and it auto starts recording when you start driving. Trip info and summary is saved to your phone. It has an SD card slot if you want full recording, but it also uses the phone accelerometer to determine ďincidentsĒ and saves them to the cloud (hard braking, people cutting you off, etc). If you get in an accident, it will record everything and send you an accident report. I really like how automated it is- I just get in and drive and everything starts up. Things I donít like are that I had to turn off cellular data for the app because those little clips were eating about 500mb of data a month, and second thing I donít like is that it uses WiFi to connect the phone and cam. So if you already are connecting to a WiFi while driving (if you have a coach wide system, for instance) then you need to forego that to see the drive on your phone and take advantage of all the app perks. I think it still will save to the SD card, though not sure.

Todd, I highly recommend the Rove R2-4K! It's super easy to program and use, and makes great quality videos! The normal price is about $120. I think you have to buy the memory card separately. I found them on sale one time for $90!

Sorry I'm at a rally and just saw the post. I don't remember how much it cost but I went with Rear View Safety for my cameras. They are a touch more expensive but they are industrial like in farm equipment, etc. We have 2 cameras and mounted the monitor into our dash. Mine are hard wired and we have had no problems with them in over 10 years of use. We have been full timing for 12 years.
