UHMMM. YES... you can/ will go out and find dead batteries and NO START... Put in a 30a Relay in TOW, near battery or firewall for easy access, that is IGN OFF= Charge Line =OFF

Thanks for all the replies. I've ran the charger about 20 hours total with no ill effects. My battery monitor shows the expected results. Based on the replies I received I will disconnect the tow charge wire at the 7 way. Again thanks for all the replies.

Depends on the Charger, most (my assumption is all) won’t drain the tow battery if it’s not charging. It seems RV people don’t have much experience with DC to DC chargers…. Van people do, and they don’t ever get disconnected and their vehicles start just fine. Some even allow you to start off the house battery in emergencies. The brand I’m familiar with and will be installing is made by Sterling- BBW1260 and charges at up to 60 Amps. I will install it with an Andersen plug and measure output before doing anything with the 7 pin wiring.
