Drain Plug on the Radiator???

I've got the "side-mounted" radiator. Not a clue as to its model number other than it's the one (standard???) one my 2006 Signature with an ISX600.

I want to completely drain the water (YES water - due to large hose leak on a raod trip returning from AZ) out of it and install my HD diesel antifreeze.

I've looked under the radiator and to the sides of the radiator searching for a simple(?) drain plug to "pull" or "twist" to begin the drain. But, no luck.

Is the next best thing to run a syphin into the fill nosel and push it down as far as it will go. Then let it drain? Dought this would get 100% of the water out.

Thoughts?????

Just pull off a lower radiator hose.

Be sure to flush a couple of times with dash heater ON so that circuit is cleaned.

Last flush with distilled water, then fill 1/2 cooling system capacity with coolant CONCENTRATE and top off with distilled water.

And, I would sure go with one of the Fleetguard long-life coolants and a filter BLANK (full filtration, no SCA).

"filter BLANK" Not familuar with this. Is it a specific type of filter or a brand?

A filter blank is a filter with the same filter material, but ZERO SCA (Supplemental Coolant Additive).

If you go to a OTR truck parts house or Cummins dealer and they don't know what it is, RUN, FOREST, RUN.

When I changed my anti freeze in my system (side radiator) I found a drain plug on the front facing end. I put a 30 gal garden "pool" under it to catch everything and the pressure in the system shot the antifreeze all the way to the rear tires
I slid the pool toward the tires and caught most of it - it was a lot (don't remember how much I bought to replace it but it is a bunch - many gallons).
I figured I needed to fix the problem and added a 3-4" mini NPT pipe and added a 90 (downward) and a shutoff valve. Now if I ever need to replace the fluids (it's good for 300,000 miles) I can drain into gallon jugs. I'm sure the next owner will appreciate this mod.
I also used the recommended flush and followed the instructions before adding the new anti-freeze.
I bought the Fleetguard pre mix from my local truck repair place.

Any possibility you can forward a picture of you're as installed?

While I know that you've a different coach, equipment and instalation, at least them I can FIND mine and order one.

Sorry it took a couple days. Just a simple mod - a couple pieces of small pipe, an elbow and a valve. As I said, the antifreeze I put in is good for 300k miles so it'll be a good mod for the next owner.
