We have alot of humidity in our area during the summer. I leave the roof vents open to let out excess heat, but I wanted a dehumidifier for the moisture. Anything I looked at was either too messy or too big for my purpose.
That was until I purchased the Eva Dry 500 as seen HERE
It easily stores in a cupboard when traveling and will not spill. It has a built in 110ac plug to recharge the crystals when they change color which is about every couple of weeks or so. Nothing to empty or refill. Nice and simple, just the way I like it.

Having the same humidity problem as islapp, here in the moist mid Atlantic while my rig is waiting for the next adventure I found this portable dehumidifier at my local Wal Mart for about $45. No compressor all solid state http://windchaserproducts.com/websit...id/d_MDH-S.htm

Unlike the basic absorption model islapp mentioned, this baby continues to remove moisture to the tune of 8-10 ounces a day using 5amp 12v or the supplied 120v transformer. Yes it does require electricity and dumping periodically (or let it drain right in the sink) but it continues 24/7 to keep the rig drier than without.

It does really work and is relatively inexpensive and mechanically simple.

Just another option to beating the wet!

I bought the Ever Dry Petite Dehumidifier from RVupgrades - it works great on the Gulf Coast of Texas.

I recently added the Petite model also to my coach. It really takes the moisture out. I use it in the front of the coach and the model 500 in the rear.
