Gravity Water Filter

We found what we think will be the answer to most RV'er issues with getting good quality drinking water - every time!

We actually stumbled across it while in a health food store. The company is called Santevia. It isn't cheap, by any means - but, it doesn't require any electricity (reverse osmosis) and it doesn't waste any water.

The resulting taste and ease of maintenance justifies it!

Basically, water filters through it by gravity. It starts out going through a flat ceramic filter (best design!) and then through a 5 stage filter in the lower tank. It also contains small mineral stones in the bottom.

All of this produces great tasting water with the right alkalinity and very simply designed! Take a look at it and a direct link to the company on our website page: RV Water Filter

Hi,

When we go to a campground I hook in line with my water connection a whole house filter which is after my pressure regulator. The drinking water faucet has it's own filter (ADC) which came with our coach so we have 2 filters to filter the water. It works great and the water is very good no matter where we go.

We used to use a Brita filter years ago but no longer have the need to use it.

Good luck with your setup but I would suggest you add a in line water filter to your hose whether it be an inline one or a whole house filter.

We do.. we have a good sediment filter already being used whenever we get water. This is just something to have good safe drinking water that also tastes great!
We are fulltimers and get water all over the place - including some pretty bad tasting RV Park water. Shower water etc. is fine - we just use the Santevia for coffee and drinking. We had a cartridge type under the sink for cold drinking water and it slowed to a crawl with soft water coming in - $60 bucks down the drain! Now we just can go directly from a fast kitchen faucet to the filter and have safe, great tasting water....
