Hi guys, Here’s my dehumidifier that I’ll have early next week. What do you think?

Looks like a peltier cycle, "semiconductor", and rated at 86f 80% which you don't want the inside to ever reach. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but it will work better than a heater. If you're using the coach, use the A/C anytime you want it cooler, use that anytime you want it warmer.

You lost me SafariBill, are you saying this unit will not function properly in a heat and/or air conditioning situation? And you’re saying it generates heat?

Every device that burns electricity eventually converts all of that to heat, dehumidifiers also add the latent heat of the water vapor they condense to that heat produced. This heat lowers the relative humidity, just as any heat would.

The rating at 80% rh is not relevant to real world performance and a sign of dishonest advertising. A/C will be nearly as efficient at removing moisture when you want A/C. This unit will keep mold down when cooler than you want A/C.

I have a 50pint one I believe normal house one. Set it up on a kasa wifi smart switch so I can control remotely. Soon will turn on when batteries are 80%+ from solar.

I keep mine in the kitchen sink with a hose so it drains into the sink. I also added a drain on that line so in a basement bay I can turn the knob and have it drain to the ground. When in storage or daytrip I leave it open then close when actually camping. This way it doesn't fill my black tank if washing food or hands.

When I use the coach it can sit in the sink until I setup camp and then pull the hose out and place on ground. Then when we leave dump the bin and put back in sink with hose.

We purchased this one from costco when it was on sale this spring. Very quiet. We have it pumping the tank into a drain, so it just sits there.
