Magna Shade Installation

Just received my Magna Shades for my '18 Ventana (front and both sides).

I've watched the install videos and read the instructions. Looks pretty straight forward. For those of you who have installed Magna Shades, I'd be interested in any tips or tricks you came up with that was not covered by the above.

Thanks

It’s very tough to do by yourself. IF you have to do by yourself, hang the shade
by taping it in place with good sticky tape. you can set the magnets in the shade pockets with tape as well… takes a bit to get them to stay in place, but
it worked. Then set the magnets on the inside of the window as the video shows…without removing adhesive plastic cover. Then recheck magnets on the outside, before final installation on inside. Magnets are very strong and would catch on our windshield shade mounting brackets, but other than that was simple to get on as the video shows.

Two people way better/easier/faster.

Thanks,

My wife will be helping and has viewed the video as well.

Be careful to not let the magnets snap onto the windshield when installing them; they're so strong they could crack it. A butter knife helps easing them down onto the glass.

I've got a couple post-install tips.

Be very careful separating the windshield magnets from the stack. I lost control of one and it forcefully snapped back onto the next magnet in the stack and broke it! A quick call to Magna Shade had a new one on the way that day.

Somehow, I ended up sticking one of the windshield magnets way off. Magna Shade has a video on how the remove installed magnets (such as for windshield replacement) and it was quite easy to do.

I got some magnets from Amazon and use them to hold up sun-blocking shades inside by sticking them to the Magneshade magnets. Sometimes the Magneshade isn't enough to keep the heat down.
