Question Need sewer hose recommendation

Which heavy duty sewer hoses are being used now days. I have tried 2-3 different ones and none of them last. I even tried the heavy duty orange/black sewer hose. Even though it it pretty heavy duty it didn’t last either. I use mine 24/7 as I move from oilfield to oilfield guarding the gate and I’m constantly hooked on an above ground sewer pump.

you might consider using a length of 4" or 5" wide PVC to protect your sewer hose from the elements.

Need sewer hose recommendation

In nine plus years of fulltiming we’ve found the Rhinoflex (black/orange) and the Valterra Dominator (black/red) to be the most reliable and wear resistant. They both have the industry standard bayonet joint system, factory bonded fittings, and the semi-ridgid flex hose that will hold the shape you put it in.
The only two “premature” failures we’ve had were small splits in the black hose section (requiring replacement) due to plastic deterioration baking in the Texas summer sun. Other than those, the hoses seem to last 4-5 years, which seems reasonable to me.
If your hoses seem to be failing due to tear hazards from lying on extremely rough ground, or some other rough terrain circumstance, I might suggest you at least set up some sort of a cradle mechanism to buffer it from the ground. You can find 10 ft lengths of vinyl gutter at HD that will serve admirably. If you think sun damage may be your culprit, full coverage via any cheap 6” conduit or pipe should give adequate sun shade.

Get one of the macarator pumps and just use a regular water hose.

Valterra Dominator is what we use. Have two that are 8 years old and no leaks.
