Correcting my post above, we don’t use the grill “in” the motorhome.

I recommend this website for great smoker recipes.
https://www.smoking-meat.com/
I've had a MasterBuilt smoker for years now, but just got the Ninja for the MH. Learnt a lot from reading his weekly email and his recipe book. (Try the bacon wrapped jalapeños stuffed with cheese. They aren't too hot and everyone loves them! )
I don't think he has used the Ninja, but he has tested several electric smokers.
I considered the lugable Traeger, but the extra $100, extra weight, and you always have to cook with smoke made the Ninja a better fit for us.

Did a large baby back rib yesterday. It took 2.5hrs at 250 degrees (starting temp) not the 1-2 hrs they mention in the cookbook. Mine tasted better but had to increase the temp to 300 at the second hr to get them to 190 degrees sooner. Son did a couple racks via indirect heat with his large Webber Grill and they were more moist.
Thinking next time just do 200 degrees and plan for 3-5 - 4 hrs cooking time to preserve moisture?
So far so good with the unit. Just going to take time to figure it out.
Oh, there's no way you can cook 2 racks on the grill like they show in the cookbook. At least not the size ones DW bought.

250° for a smoker is pretty hot. I normally do 225°. May finish them up at a higher temp for the last 30 minutes.

Ended up buying the electric ninja wood fired grill with the wifi and the thermometers.
Have used it about a dozen times, really like it. Grill, smoker, roaster, dehydrate, broil, lots of options.
It is hot and fast, you really have to get used to ti as tend to overcook, the thermometers help.
Grill on low heat seems to be the best. Coating the meat with olive oil helps keep it moist and tender
The grilling surface part is removable and cleans up very easy. The grease trap has disposable liners, I just rinse it out, wipe it down and ready to go for next time. The inside of the cover is the hard part to clean and there is ash from the smoker box.
I would buy it again

Having had a smoker for years now, I only clean the cooking surfaces every time. Plus the grease pan, if it captured anything. Most time it doesn't. And the temp probes.
We love it.

Haven’t used my Weber Q propane grill at all this summer
We Love this thing!
Easy to clean, compact and easy to use
We purchased the cart and carrybag for it as well
Cart folds flat and fits in the basement
The only thing I need propane for is my frige if we’re on the road and the stove when and if we use it
Worth the money says the BOSS!
I bet my on board propane will last at least two seasons
At $100 a fill this has almost paid for it self already
We’ve used it two seasons

We use a Breeo wood smokeless fire pit at home for patio ambience and cooking. We use a Camco propane fire pit for ambience, cooking and heating our Clam screened-in tent. Propane is more convenient and faster to get going, especially a factor when you have fish right off the hook to eat. Our entire family does fly fishing, so there is frequently fish to be eaten.
