This may have been mentioned (I'm not going to read through 250 messages to find out!) but you need a fair amount of water pressure to make the Oxygenics work well. We found that if we turn on the water pump, even if we're hooked up to city water, it works great.

Mine didnt work at 1st either, I removed the backflow preventer where it comes out of the shower wall. It had calcified up and was not letting any water through.
Then it worked perfect.
Somewhere I bet you have a blockage.

Anything that gives me three extra showers, when I am boondocking, is worth crowing about to other RVer's. Not to mention that my hot water goes a lot longer as it only uses a fraction of the water then the OEM showerhead did.

I think the longest running, still active one is the Winnebago ID thread. Been going since 2003.

Ok, now, back to shower heads.....

Rather than believing all the mfgr. specs of where the GPM ratings are on these things, I did a real-world test with a real world pump... in the shower. The whole point was how long it took to fill a 1gal marked bucket. This was Oxygenics vs. whatever the Itasca Meridian shower head is. Things aren't as different as one might think, it's just how the water is used..

Both valves full-on, shower valve full-on:
Oxygenics 33 sec
Stock Head 44.5 sec

Both valves full-on, shower valve @ 3/4: (where we normally use it)
Oxygenics 52 sec
Stock Head 72 sec

Does it use less water? Depends on where the volume valve is set.. But in either position the Oxygenics has a way better, more distributed pattern you don't have to move around and look for, causing a shorter stay.

Well, well, well, guess what. I fixed my shower and the new shower head works great . Even with just the pump running. The shower valve was leaking and I wasn't getting enough pressure. New value today from CW and we have a shower ....Peace....D ...Oh and this thread is alive again...

If I read your post and results correctly, your stock shower head uses less water than ozygenics.

Yes, BUT.....
At any volume the stock head is pretty concentrated causing you to leave it on longer to wet down all the parts. The Oxygenics has a huge pattern that eliminates that, thus reduces wetting or rinsing times. It's also a much harder spray, that also helps rinsing off.

Read through a bunch of pages but unclear on some things.

Where is it available?
Where can you buy the shut off valve?
Do you use a "sliding bar mount" or just a small bracket?
Is the white model lighter than the chrome or brushed finish?

Thanks in advance!
Dave

I bought the shutoff valve at Home Depot. It's just a standard shower shutoff that goes between the fixture and the shower hose.

As for the weight of white vs. chrome, I don't think the chrome unit is anything more than the same plastic the white one is except with a chrome finish. Suspect it would weigh the same.
