Rhino Lining Roof?

Anyone ever used this new stuff on their Roof in lieu of replacing a rubber roof?

I've only seen one motorhome with it, and it looked great. He even had the front sprayed in a color that matched the coach. Never got to talk with the owner since they were never there, and we had to leave. There's a place in FL. that does something similiar. www.rvroof.com They only guarantee against leaks for 20yrs. I like lifetime better, and I like the idea of color availability.

A benefit to having CW install the rubber roof is as long as I do the annual maintenance at CW on the roof (149.00) they guarantee it for LIFE.

Which I didn't know ahead of time but am very pleased about.

Yes, but you will still have to make sure the caulking is good. With the Rhino & LineX roof systems...no more caulk to worry about.

I would be interested in how difficult it is to repair in case something on the roof were to require replacement

Good post, have been thinking about the same idea for about a year but could not find anyone who has actually tried it. I was thinking of using a product called Snow Coat but would rather use Rhino Lining. The MH does have a fiberglass roof and the surface is getting a chalky appearance so some sort of coating would protect the surface from the elements as well as insulate from heat and cold. I will see if I can find a local Rhino Lining company.

I received two quotes for the Rhino Lining, $4600 and $5200.

Is the Rino lining come in anything other than black ? I would think the black would be very hot in the summer heat.

They(LineX, Rhino, RV Roof Armor, rvroofs.com) now have colors. I'm still trying to find someone who has actually had it done.

Might look into a product called Ultra Tuff Coat. Many colors, flexible rubberized, sound deadening, and insulating. Used it on my 25 year old fiberglass deck, and lived it. Not real expensive, water based, easy application (some humidity/moisture restrictions), and VERY durable. May not work, but worth a look n

I've never heard of anyone doing the slide roofs, but I have thought about it. My concern would be increasing the thickness of the rooftop. Which in turn might put an additional strain on the slide motor as the roof would be tighter up against the upper seal. Hmmm, something I'm going to have to look into.
