ScanGauge D display?

Looking hard at buying a Scangauge D for my motorhome, my question is about the display. The display dimensions seem small and my eyes are not what they use to be. I would like some feedback from someone using one as far as readability when mounted on the dashboard. If anyone from south Louisiana has one and would allow me to look at it, I would really appreciate it.

Good contrast, backlit, easy for me to read with my my-60's eyes.

Same problem! Must be getting old! Can't read it on dash board so I mounted on top steering column just below steering wheel so it is visible through the wheel!

No problem reading mine. It is just to my right on top of the dash. Even with my 70 plus eyesight things are as clear as can be. I won't be without mine.

I can read my Scan Gauge easier than the factory analog gauges.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but just an alternative unit consideration. I have no experience with the ScanGuage, but have been using a 8" pad with the "Torque" app on it for many years without any problems. With Torque you can pick guage design, size, analog or digital, or combos. Also uses GPS for other functions such as altitude. It can be used with a pad, large cell phone, and I 'spose with a dash screen that can do bluetooth. Works great, and hooks up to the OBD port just like the ScanGuage. Whatever you get, the units are a great way to keep up with actual engine/transmission readings.

If you have a late model cell phone, iPad, or android pad, the only purchase is a OBD port reader and a few bucks for the Pro version of the app. Less money, and larger guages!! Winner, Winner!!!!

The Torque app is very nice, but the OP has a diesel Motorhome and it doesn’t have an ODBII port.

The app is feature rich and has lots of options, I just wish it supported other protocols/plug-ins.

That’s pretty cool! My Scan gauge with the $30 discount I got from where I bought it was cheap. My phone is usually tied up with a GPS app. I don’t own a tablet, but would have opted for something like a Torque if I had one. The scan gauge does all I need and super easy to read quickly. Mostly quick reference monitoring fuel mileage, oil pressure, water and trans temps. And takes up minimal space just resting on top of the dash.
I have an RV Garmin but don’t use it as I prefer G Maps or Waze because they’re easier to use quickly searching destinations.

Thanks for the picture reference. The screen looks easy to read, and I really like your setup. I will have to look hard at my console and see if I can do something similar.

Thanks
Ronnie

Well I wasn't aware that a "pusher stinker" wouldn't have an OBD port, since diesel p/ups do!! There must be something that would function as an interface, but probably more expensive. Then agin', what would a ScanGuage D hook up to!!!!!
