SoftStartUp and Generac GP2200i

I have a 30amp Travel Trailer and I just bought the SoftStartUP and I plan on using my already have Generac GP2200i.

I will be using a 20amp to 30amp adaptor, then 30amp to 50amp (on the SoftStartUP) then BACK down 50amp to 30amp so I can plug my Trailer in.

I am wondering does anyone else use this setup? Also if you do, how do hide the SoftStartUP so it will be out of site (out of site out of mind)? I'm thinking about getting a canvas carry bag and cutting holes in each end to feed the cords through....
Thanks LeeB

The 50 amp soft start gimmick should not be part of this. an RV 50 amp connection is a 2 leg set up and your 30 amp RV is a single leg 30 amp. The 2200i generator may not be enough especially if there are any other loads such as battery charging and a refrigerator.

I have already run it and it seems fine.... FYI my refrigerator is 12v

I went to its website and the way your using it is one of the ways they mention. If it works and your happy , carry on. As far as placing it in a heavy bag, make sure it doesn't need to be in the open for cooling.

It's not for use with auto transfer switchs, like motorhomes use.

Thanks I'm hoping not to use a heavy bag just something light to hide it from the no so honest people..... Yes I under stand NOT using it with a auto transfer switch. LeeB

I would not put it in any type of cover when running it will overheat. If your worried about them chain them to your camper or put them away when you are gone.
