The Love Bug Eraser

Normally I am as fond of products that advertise 'As Seen On TV' as I am with love bugs themselves. Well this product really does work as advertised.

We're on our way from Maine to Florida and when we hit VA we ran into a huge amount of critters who were trying to impede our forward progress. So when we got into camp today I had a nasty windshield and front cap of the coach.

I had ordered this product (the kit) on a whim this summer so I figured this is as good a time as any to try it out.

Filled a bucket with soapy water, attached the pad and went to work. The bugs just melted away! And the front cap cleaned off with minimal pressure and no scratching. I was impressed!

So guys, take it to the bank. This product works as advertised so you don't have to work nearly as hard.

Hi,

Looks great but I have 2 questions: Number 1 does it take off existing wax? Number 2 where do you buy it? Thanks

Save your money. Just use NEW dryer sheets dipped in water. Then wash the area as normal with soapy water. If you encounter a hard to remove bug, just let the dryer sheet stay on top of it a few seconds and it will soften the bug and remove it. Easiest thing I have found.

Tom - I can't answer your question about the wax from experience, as I used it on glass an Diamond Shield film only. But, their website (click the link in my first post) shows it being used on automotive finishes.

Rex - if that works for you go for it, but I find it difficult to hold anything over a bug splat 12 feet off the ground on my windshield! I have NO desire to get out the ladder and clean my windshield every day while on the road. With the Eraser - attach it to your pole, scrub a bit and bugs all gone - easy peasy.

Thanks for the tip. I, too, am not real happy with the work involved with dryer sheets. As inexpensive as they are, I am willing to try. Just ordered some.

My hubby ordered these a few months ago and he says they do work great, especially on bug residue. He bought another set of them for our brother-in-law.

Was that for use BY your brother-in-law, Sarah, or ON your brother-in-law??

After marrying my beautiful wife many years ago, I found out that she LOVES to wash cars - motor homes too! I'm one lucky guy!

I mentioned the Love Bug Eraser to her, and ended up buying a set. She absolutely loves them. Great time saver, works well, and the bugs come right off....

Thanks Doc,

I just bought the 3, 3packs and the pad. Good info.

Leaving Tuesday for Iowa to pick up my new RV, it has finally been delivered to the dealer.

I lived in love bug country for many years and a long time ago while trying to wash them off my car a neighbor, an old Cajun gentleman came over with a mesh pad, the kind you use in the kitchen, and a box of Arm and Hammer baking soda. He dipped the mesh pad into the soapy water and put some soda on it and wiped the bugs away. No effort involved. Just wet down the area to be cleaned first, use some soapy water, and then wipe the bugs off. Any brand of soda will work of course. It is very cheap.

They work good, but take one to the hood of an otherwise flawless black car, and you'll know it....leaves fine micro scratches. On any other color, you're ok.
