Trying to avoid buying two tools if possible

Been doing a bunch of reading and watching videos for touching up paint on the coach as well as detailing the aluminum wheels. I think I know the answer but thought I would ask, as I would like to buy one tool if possible.

Seems for polishing I need a dual action buffer but for the wheels I need a variable speed grinder to put the different polishing wheels on. Anyone have experience with this and can guide me in the right direction? If you have a tried and true brand, would love to know that as well. Thanks in advance.

You can use the variable speed grinder style of buffer for both. You just use a wool or foam pad/backer for the painted surfaces, and then your choice of poison for polishing the aluminum.
