Mostly by using the emergency hand cranks. I first cranked in the huge slide, then slowly and exhaustingly cranked up and down (I have stabilizer bars) the front jack*, then I got lucky and the pull vehicle (RAM 1500 Hemi) supplied just enough oomph from its alternator to pull in the awning.

*FYI: Take off the hidden jack brake before trying to crank!
