Water Pump Connection

Hello All,

I bought an Aqua Tank2 for boondocking and I needed a water pump to get the water into my fresh tank from the bag. I decided to buy the same pump thats already in my rig, so I have a spare ready to go. Nice idea except the pump has a 5/8 thread and a hose has 3/4 thread. I have been to home depot and 2 other hardware stores locally, searched Google and Amazon, but cannot find anything.

Any ideas????

Thank You

buy the fittings for the pump with the barbed end, cut the hose and clamp/crimp it.
as far as I know they were never intended for a hose to screw onto them.

What kind of 5/8" threads does the pump have? Every diaphragm pump I've seen has either 3/8 or 1/2" NPT threads, 1/2" NPT is a little more than 5/8 actual measurement. If that's what you have, you'd just need a 1/2"NPT x garden hose thread adapter.

A little late but this is what I use when pumping from the Aquatank 2 60g bladder using a spare pump the I wired so it can be plugged into the 4 way plug in the rear of truck.

2_5/8" OD x 1/2" ID Vinyl hoses, #4 clamps 1/4"-5/8" diameter, 1_3/4"female hose end x 1/2" ID hose barb.
