We have been very happy with our Hughes Watchdog 50 amp, hard wired.

We have the hardwired Hughes Power Watchdog PWD50-EPO-H and so far it has worked fine. Don't order it from Amazon though. They sent me the wrong model TWICE, and from reading the reviews it seems that this is a common problem.
