They will try but spacex will win out. Elon musk is just to aggressive has the cash to back it up. Hes got contacts with NASA now and the okay for commercial space flights. Amazon will end up paying spacex to out there satelites in orbit. All those satelites what 3200+ will need to get up there somehow

Competition is good... maybe it will help keep the cost down.

Jeff Bezos has the deep pockets, I wish him well with this and all his ventures. He and Elon are real billionaires and can make things happen.

The issue is that Jeff Bezos also owns Blue Origin, which he has dumped a ton of money into already which is in the process of building a rocket that will outperform SpaceX's Falcon 9, you just don't hear a lot because it is all behind closed doors, they are also taking a very different design philosophy than SpaceX, by doing extreme designing and testing before building the first rocket, vs the SpaceX way of build something then when it blows up you learn something about how to build the next one better, and then when it blows up, repeat Best guess is the Blue Origin New Glenn rocket will have its first flight within the next year, after nearly a decade of development.

Of course Spacex has a BIG headstart, but when New Glenn becomes operational much of that SpaceX advantage will disappear.
