Anyone tried the "RVs backup camera"?
My first impression is that the quality is just not there, but my needs are simple. I don't move my trainer much, mostly to dump the tanks... BUT...
When trying to get my trailer back into my spot, I struggle with backing up. It would be helpful if I could see how much distance I have between the end of my camper and the one behind me.
I see it advertised all over (FB, Instagram) and it's wearing me down! lol
Has anyone tried one of these?

Hmmmmmmmm
81 views, no comments! Maybe we're on to something... or NOT!
OK, I'll post a different approach.
Thanks anyway! Happy Camping!

I would think having a spotter (Guide) to help you back into your site would be simpler or mark where the front wheel (or other reference point) of your tow vehicle has to be when you are backed in where you want to be.

There are endless options for back-up cameras, dash cameras, and surround cameras for cars, trucks, and RV's.
I installed the Garmin BA30 camera on the back of my travel trailer. It is powered by the running lights at the top rear of the trailer. It connects wirelessly to the Garmin RV770 GPS in my tow vehicle.
It works OK for backing the TT in a campsite or parking place. I find it a little difficult to use because of the wide angle distorted view, but it works better than using my wife as a spotter.
Once I backed into a post at the rear of a campsite. I got out and walked around to the rear where my wife was standing. I could then see the post was pushed over. My wife said, "You hit the post." So helpful.

Yes, I agree having a "reliable" spotter is ideal, but that isn't always possible.
Mainly I need some way to gauge how far I need to go, where to stop in my space.
While I am a real newbie at backing, I am learning how to steer and get where I need to be, it is the space behind I need to watch. Getting in and out is a bit tedious.
Thanks for your responses everyone! My investigation continues! I will look at the Garmin solution as well!

There are all sorts of wireless cameras . Some have the superimposed distance grid to help fish eye distortion . A quick Amazon search shows magnetic rechargable units, you would have trust reviews from there.. It could be used for hitching as well.

Yep, I've been looking pretty much everywhere for B/U cameras.
I'm toying with adding a permanent cam to the back, but want to explore something portable...
Anyone with experience with this particular camera?
I wonder if it has the 'reach' from the back of my 20' TT to my truck.
thanks!

My F150 has a GREAT camera for the hitch, with the "range" delimiter as well as a center-alignment for the ball itself... It's excellent!!
