Anyone using this camera?

I bought one of these cameras and love it! The HD video is very good and it has motion detection with 360 degree automatic tracking. I can control the pan and tilt function from my phone.

My only problem is that I can't get it to notify my phone when motion is detected. I'm working with tech support now to find the problem, but I just wondered if anyone else here has experienced the same problem.

Be careful what you ask for, you might get it.

In a previous life, I put a motion sensitive camera on a radio transmitter site to attempt to catch the fool stealing our diesel fuel.
Initially I set it up for motion sensing.

Unless the algorithms for what constitutes a significant movement has improved, be prepared to be alerted to almost anything within sight of the camera.
just a few things that triggered the camera to send me a notification.
  • Wasps
  • crickets
  • moths
  • cows
  • grasshoppers (I think)
  • and leaves, again I'm not sure but there was nothing else
Oh, and the transition from day mode (color) to Night mode (Black and white) would send me a notification.

One of the questions I would ask our customers before ordering a camera for them
"Are you intending to use the recorded image for prosecution or just to monitor the location?"
The answer to this would drive the answer about the quality of the camera. It cost a lot more to get the fine details for prosecution.
I wish you well with your choices.

Thanks for your comments! I haven't had any problems yet with anything except human movement activating the motion detection. I am amazed at the quality of the video. I have the camera in our open carport to monitor our vehicles at night.

Im not familiar with that brand. With Wyze cameras you need to go into settings for both your Cell Phone and the camera. They both will have a box to select to allow notifications.

My "Ring" system works well with notifications and zones can be adjusted.

Howdy!

I use Blink cameras around the RV with magnetic attachments so I can remove them as needed. They have been great and you can set the sensitivity and duration of videos.

Cameras are great at filming folks stealing your stuff while most times not being able to do anything about it.

Not in my experience. Do you own any security cameras? Or just wanted to dog on the thread?
