I had the same plan/setup, using a Nighthawk with an iPad plan. It sure worked great, better than my Verizon service most of the time. But that 450GB of data we used back in July was too much to ignore, I guess. They sent the same cancellation notice, mentioning the fraud dept. But no one could actually tell me why it was cancelled. My sone got set up on the same plan and his is still going strong, but he doesn't abuse the data like me!

No, I would not blame the guy I bought from on EBay..he disclosed it was an iPad plan and could be cancelled. I knew this and won't blame others. I bought at my own risk...such is life.

I've since given up on my 20 + years on Verizon due to weak signal/data, etc. AT&T is stronger in my experience. But I know AT&T is a scuzzy outfit...money-mongers! But I want the data at the right price and because they are so careless, we can take advantage of this with their various plans they don't always monitor for abuse. My next plan is to add a $20 iPad plan and tether to a router. So with my two phones and that Pad I should have 300GB available before throttle...and if I'm correct they may never get around to slowing me down on all devices at the same time.

It pays to be legit!

I bought my ATT unlimited plan from ATT not some unknown scammer on ebay.
My plan still works flawlessly.
When ATT sent me an invite to upgrade my Mobley device to a Nighthawk I took them up on it and bought it directly from ATT.
Still working flawlessly.
And my last name in the first half of the alphabet.

It pays to be legit!

I just signed up for another unlimited Ipad plan for $20 a month too. I do keep the sim in my Ipad but I can hotspot it to any other device.

Happy...
Did you add the ipad plan to your mobely plan?

How do you get a legit "unlimited" plan from AT&T for a modem/router, such as a Pepwave? As far as I know, they don't exist for anything close to the amount of data that a full timer needs either at home or in an RV. The closest I've found are the simply data plans from Cricket. $90 for 100 GB which is not really enough.

I think I've finally found a reseller and plan that I feel mostly comfortable with. It's a reasonable price for a reasonable amount of data (not "unlimited"). He assures me that it's a "legit hotspot plan", not a tablet or phone plan. I have no particular reason to doubt him and it's working well but I guess time will tell. I just started using it this week.

I only use postpaid plans... for me, it's just not right to use more data than I'm paying for.
