AT&T Connected Car Unlimited Data Plan

Just wondered how many are using the original plan that is no longer available?

I sure can't imagine anyone on the original AT&T $20 CCU Mobley plan ever voluntarily giving it up.

Me neither! I love that $23.49 bill each month!

We have stopped traveling and it's too cheap to even give up. I've got it stuffed in a drawer (chip is in a Netgear Nighthawk MR1100) and tell my family if they need it let me know.

Why don't you use it at home?

I work from home and have WOW internet (500/50 - down/up) since I do IT-ish work. I use it as a backup if I need it.

I have two Mobley's and more data than I can use. What a deal....

Just a note: Philo TV (streaming) - 65 channels - I pay $20 a month - I love it

If one happens to come across one used, could it be activated or would it be forever tied to the original owner?

AT&T has a $20 alternative made for ipads but with a little work the SIM can be moved to a router. I'm happy to send the details, just PM me.

I have 2 of them currently in use. 1 at our vacation home and one int he RV. This summer we were at about 250-300GB per unit as we were back and forth.

Best program ever......pair this with a Visible unlimited plan (on Verizon Network) for $25 a month and you will almost always have good coverage

Still going strong 4 years later. Moved it to a nighthawk m1000 after the mobley burned up in a fire and then to the winegard g1000 when our new trailer came with the system.

Are we voting on the Mobley or are we talking about the Harman Spark? The "Connected Car" plan can refer to either, but the Spark has been the only one available new for at least 3 years now.

People love the Mobley.

The Spark on the other hand was fished out of the bottom of a landfill on a hot day (not only that, but the "unlimited" data plan is only a 1 year promotional!). The SIM can be moved to another device with some effort but reactivation is hit and miss. The Spark in it's normal configuration can only be used when it has GPS lock and determines that A) the car is moving more than 5mph, B) determines that the connected OBDII port is passing randomized engine RPM data from 500 to 2500RPM, C) has not been immobile for longer than 10 minutes. They also force your traffic through their "optimized telematics VPN" which adds 200ms to the latency.
