ATT /DTV discount

What’s up with ATT/DTV just received a call that they are offering 50% discount for 2 years no contract including premium channels dropping my monthly rate to $40 including tax and can cancel anytime without penalty. That catch is you need to pay the first 10 months in advance $400.00 non refundable. I passed but they told me to think about it and call them back at 855-681-1394 if I changed my mine.

He then said with a thick accent that I had to prepay 10 months in advance fro $450 and they were working with ebay who was paying the other half. And I need to go to (listed a bunch of stores) a store a pickup ebay cards in any denomination. And asked how long it would take and would I be interested in a gift card for calling back if I called back within the next 2 hours. The number they gave was 888-959-6794.

I got that same call about a week ago. When they asked me for my account PW and PIN, I told them to take their headset and put it where the sun don't shine.
