Bluefire Adaptor?App

Hi Newbe here!

I'm interested in information on the Bluefire Adaptor and App.
I have a 2003 Fleetwood Discovery and would like to be able to read and display CPM. mainly interested in transmission temp, but has alot of other features. I have a 6 pin and not sure what data it will capture for display output.
if any of you have any info. on this adaptor and App,that would be a big help!!

Thx

You're going to be connecting through J1708 data link which will give you all or most of the important readings.

I would suggest taking a look at the following thread, and specifically the posts made by Jim A. He is very knowledgeable on the BlueFire, app and his coach is around the same vintage as yours.

Thanks for the compliment, Bob! I quick search says that the 2003 Fleetwood Discovery has a CAT engine, and I have a Cummins. So I can't tell you for sure what data your coach may provide. If it is like mine though, it would include the transmission, intake manifold, and coolant temps. Mine does not include oil temp however. The BlueFire app and the adapter will show you whatever is available. I just can't tell you for sure what is available. The link Bob provided includes a screenshot of my BlueFire dash, so you can see what data I chose to use. But that isn't everything that was available, just what I want to see driving down the road.

Your coach is not likely to have fuel level data available, as explained in that link. You will probably need to use a calculated fuel level from the total fuel used and the odometer readings. It should be accurate, except it will not account for fuel used by the generator, etc.

The 6-pin adapter has been discontinued. You will need to use a 6-pin to 9-pin adapter and use the 9-pin adapter.
