BlueFire Dashboard Community Share

I recently discovered a replacement program for the VMSPc application called Bluefire. The discussion of this application is located in this thread.

The purpose of this post is to share the custom dashboard layouts that users create. I have created a GitHub repository that is public access to permanently archive the dashboard files. It is available here:

https://github.com/redbaron73/BlueFire-Dash

For users that are not technical, and just want to download files, you can do so by browsing the website, and downloading the single dashboard file. The directory structure will be organized by the IRV2 username of the contributor.

If the contributor only has a single dashboard, there will be no subfolders. If they have multiple, then each dashboard will have its own subfolder. I will also include screenshots of the dashboard if the creator submits it.

Anyone that is comfortable with GitHub, and would like to help maintain this, please send me a PM or email and I will add you to this.

This thread should be used to discuss dashboard files, and layouts only. Discussion of the application should be done in the original thread

For those on an iPad/phone the only way to transfer files is to place the XML in iCloud Drive, make sure you have iCloud enabled on your iPad with the BlueFire turned on in the iCloud section of the Settings.

When you click on load select browse and you should see your iCloud drive.

Actually, you can grab the Xml file from a number of places...if you know how to navigate there.

I’ve successfully installed files from my Desktop on my Mac, Dropbox, Google Drive, and my iPad or iPhone Files section.

What IS a problem, is that Github opens the XML file into a code view page, rather than giving you the option of downloading the file.

Still trying to figure out a work around.

On the android, I can long press and choose option to download vs open.

On pc, you can right click and choose save as.

I dont have my iPad in the house, but if no one finds a solution before tomorrow, I will post an update on how to do it with the iPad

Right, tried all the tricks to do this. What's happening, is that the downloaded file is force-converted to HTML...DESPITE me forcing the .xml extension.

First make sure you have the desktop view. Then click the raw button. That will remove all html content.

Ok. Phew. Wasn’t easy, but I got the workflow, which appears to be the only way on an iOS.

1. Access the file on GitHub.
2. Click Desktop Version, which gives you the ability to have the RAW view.
3. Click RAW.
4. The whole window will be filled with the xml code.
5. Use the Share icon to send the file to Dropbox*.
6. The file can be Browsed to and Imported in the BluFire app.

DropBox was the only cloud service I could get to Share the file.

Try installing GitHawk app from the App store. This should allow you to directly upload and download without any extra steps.

EGGGGSACTLY what I was thinking!

P. S. I’m wondering how many more files are on the actual BluFire forum? I need to join that...probably should buy the module first. Oh. Wait. I need to get my DS first! Lol.
