Using the crown molding to hide the wires is clever. Looks good.

Yeah, I thought so too. It didn't really pop out at me at first, until the photos, but I'm going to put molding on the other side also. Not needed because no wires to hide, but just an aesthetics thing to make the one side the same as the other.

How did they match the wood color for the new doors to the bedroom cabinet were the TV was?

Nice job! Finding more space is like finding gold, and yes, those old tube type tv's are heavy.

Looking good!

The old bedroom tv was kinda in a useless place, no?

The guy that did the cabinet doors said it took 'em several times to get it right. SW kept mixing the stain too red. Eventually, they got a good match.

It was on a swing-out shelf, but it was a real pain to maneuver to the wardrobes when it was out. Plus, about 3 years into owning the coach, the shelf shifted (didn't know it) so that the travel latch didn't catch & I discovered it swinging free - with the 20" TV on it - banging around going down the road one time. That's when we decided we'd think about switching the TV's out. Waited long enough for the LED's to come down in price & we just love how slim & light they are.

I'm with you, Lori. I thought the crown moulding on only the one side made it look "unbalanced".

My father re-did his TV swap last year. He made it hard on himself. He wanted to enlarge the front TV, so he expanded (bumped-out) all the woodwork around the actual flat panel he put in. HD is just so much better.....you will have plenty of time to enjoy it in the months to come.

...and here I am, with my 2000 12" CRT analog TV that I bought in a Shop "N Save for $80.00 right after I took delivery of the TT. I have a VCR/DVD player with a digital tuner and outputs an analog signal, so the TV is literally just a monitor at this point. The stereo output jacks of the VCR/DVD player are connected AUX inputs of the TT's AM/FM/CD. This provides stereo sound throughout the TT that blows away the sound produced by the tinny speaker on the TV.

Sorry, folks, but I have a problem throwing away a perfectly good TV- even if it is technologically obsolete.
