Controlling a Summit TV volume & power with a Roku remote - use Mitsubishi

The Roku Streaming Stick+ remote can control power and volume on a TV that has a Streaming Stick+ plugged in but the Roku does not have a selection for Summit TV's. Imagine that...

Through some experimentation I found that telling the Roku that it's plugged into a Mitsubishi TV did the trick and allows the Roku remote to control the power and the volume of a Summit TV.

I have two different models of (2019) Summit TV's and Mitsubishi worked on both.

Programming a universal remote for any off name brand or small brand television can be done if you find out what major manufacturer actually made the television.

Apparently summit televisions are made by mitsubishi.

Thank you for posting this info.
