Cost of electricity in RV park.
I would like to know what other people are paying per kilowatt for electricity. The park I am in is charging $0.21 per kilowatt which I think is high.
Thank you.

A big part of it depends on where you are. Electricity costs vary widely by locality and between power providers.

Depends where you are? I pay more than that at my S&B here in San Diego.

I just returned from Alaska on my boat and the "usual" charge to plug in was $10 in addition to moorage. Some places were as high as $15 for 30 amp electricity alone. On the water electricity is almost never metered, it's generally a flat charge. Just to give you a comparison point.

It really depends on where you are at and what is being used to create the power..
ie:
Hydro-Electric dams/coal/natural gas/nuclear/solar/wind generators

Just paid about 0.17 in South Fork, CO. At home in Texas it’s about 0.12.

Most parts do markup the price. So local might be .12 while at a nearby park it is .17 and they have added the .05 to cover their infrastructure expenses.

Upcharging ONLY if permitted by Public Utilities Commission.
Most places it is NOT permitted.
CG Site Fees are to be set to cover costs plus profit
OP.
You need to ask CG Staff for copy of their 'electric rate' agreement and IF they are allowed to upcharge
None of the electric rates are above 16 cents KW/Hr and majority are in the 7-10 cent range

Electricity is free at the park we are at, but you have to pay $2/day for any day you use your air conditioner or an electric heater.

In northern Ohio, we are paying .16 cents per KW. But we are here seasonally and the rate for the CG site is very cheap.

That link is only for the actual cost of electricity, you need to add in the cost of delivery to get the billable cost of electricity at your site. All electric bills have 2 parts, cost of electricity and delivery charge.
