Cutting the Cords & Satellite Dish.

Cutting Satellite service at Sticks&Bricks. Considered Hulu option, but did not like format. Friend recommended Utube TV. Like the look so far. Have home internet, Cell phones and Tablets all thru TMobile with unlimited Data and 5g.
Questions for group:
If I sign up for UTTV …. As I understand from reading older posts….I will have ability to log into UTTV using my Cell or IPad as a Hot Spot and be able to cast to my RV Television…..or….Connect thru the TV directly using either RV park internet (if available or sufficient) or by using my Cell/Ipad as Hot Spot to TV.
Will doing so allow me to view basically my local channels and package channels while on the road?
We usually travel 3-4 weeks at a time. Home month or so then back out, so the 60 day being home would not affect us in all probability.
Lastly…..Mexico and Canada?
Thanks….

With YTTV, as long as you have good internet, you will get the entire package that you have purchased, regardless of where you are. YTTV will alert you about being out of home area after about 60-90 days. If you use your tablet or cell phone, with location services active, YTTV will likely switch, or ask you, to the location where you are. We are full timers for last 5 years, with YTTV, and have never had a problem keeping our "home" channels. However, it does require using a trick to mask your actual location.

Changed from Directv satellite to streaming a few years ago. We use Roku devices at home and in the MH. Works perfect for both. Similar programing package for streaming was about 40% less than satellite. The DVR is "virtual" meaning no equipment so it's available in the MH just like at home. Also, we are able to watch our home local channels and use our OTA in the MH for local channels at our temp location if desired. We did have to get used to the Roku remotes as opposed to the Directv remotes...you can't enter a channel by number...have to scroll through the guide or it shows several recent channels where you can switch to quicker. Not a big deal after using a day or two. Of course you need a wifi signal in the MH and there are numerous options for that. We have 50gig hotspot on each of our ATT phones per month as well as a Travlfi hotspot which can connect to other carriers also. We travel about 2 wks at a time 4-5 times per year so this works well for us. Sorry, don't know how it would work in Canada or Mexico.

We have used YouTube TV and Starlink from Canada to Costa Rica without issue.
