Even with two receivers, both channels you are trying to record must be on the same satellite since the x2 only has one LNB and points to one satellite at a time.

You can let it record on Dish and switch your TV to watch over the air channels at the same time.

I carry the walkout dome and use it for short stays and I have a 3 LNB dish on a tripod for longer stays. With that a second tuner comes up on the Wally so I can record one or two chanbels and watch one of them or a third over the air.

I was finally able to dig out of the 2" of ice/snow that I got to test this. It picked up all three of the Western satellites with no issues. Being I did not activate the Wally service yet I could not check the channels, but I got options for OnDemand shows.

Good that it works.

I have had mixed results trying to activate a Wally while connected to the Pathway x2. Hopefully you will not have a problem.

What was the problem? I normally activate mine using chat.

The updates to the Wally would not come through.

Then I may have an issue also. When I had it hooked up temporarily I checked for updates and it said I had the latest update. I have not used the Wally for about 10 months.

I had crappy signal strength where I was. That may have been the problem.
