Dish OTA with Hopper and Joeys

Does anyone use the USB adapter for Over the Air channels on a Dish satellite Hopper with Joeys in their MH? If you do, does the Joey see the local channels? Will the Hopper record and pause them? Will the Hopper Prime automatic recording work with OTA channels? When we relocate out of our normal coverage area, we lose local channels through the Hopper and I am wondering if this approach will work when traveling.

Thanks for any information!

I don't have this setup in my MH, but I have a Hopper 3 with a Joey 3 in my house. I have the OTA dual antenna adapter on my H3 and the J3 shows the channels. You will need to rescan for the OTA channels at each move. The guide info of the newly scanned channels make take a while to show up. I do a manual recording in place of the guide if necessary.

The Prime Time automatic nightly recording does not work. You just have to record the shows manually like any other show. When you replay them they are just like any other show for fast forward etc. The Joeys work like any other channels.
Be sure to get the 2 tuner unit.

Also get the one for $29.99 one in below link at the bottom of the page and not the one from Dish itself. They are the same except for the color.
