I have a new Pathway X2 for our living room tv and a new Playmaker for the bedroom tv. I have a Wally with each and both have the latest update. I have hooked them up to the antennas, tested them and they work well. The only issue is the program guide. In testing the Playmaker this morning the guide had into for May 30??? I did a reset several times by unplugging the Wally but no change. I just got the Playmaker but we did use the Pathway on our shakedown trip last month and I think it was the same issue. I think I remember the guide did update overnight.

I did a search a found some older posts which mentioned this issue but never saw a definitive answer to getting the correct guide to download. Maybe there isn't one but thought I would ask anyway.

Some times it takes a full day for the updated guide to download, especially if the receiver has been offline for a while. If that doesn't work, then contact Dish by their chat line and ask them to refresh the receivers.

As a weekender, the evening before a trip, when I plug in the TT to let the fridge begin cooling down, I also set up the portable Dish antenna and turn on the TV to let the Wally begin the "scan" procedure. Overnight the Dish Program will update to current. Otherwise if I wait till we get to location, then set up the Dish, it will still have the Program guide from the date the system was last used.

It has been over a year since we used Dish with a Wally receiver. IIRC, performing a reset to factory settings, then go thru check switch, update your preferences. Problems with guide and session not resuming were fixed. It was not a big hassle to do this. Since the Wally software has probably been updated many times since our last use, this may not help. YMMV.
