We bought a couple of Direct TV sat antennas (still in plastic baggies)as a box lot at a yard sale. The 2 receiver boxes that came with them were "Dish DP 301" and they have a little card in the front of each. I was only after the antennas so I want to unload just the receivers on eBay and need a little help in describing them. What are the cards? One says "Dish Network 500" and has a yellow background. The other card says "Dish Network" and has a mostly blue background.

Lorna,
The cards that are in the receivers are similar in that they must be in the receiver in order for the receiver to be used. The receivers in both the home and MH have different color cards (yellow, blue, and red) but if you take the card out the receiver will not work. If the boxes have been opened I would call the dish provider and make sure that there is no balance owed on the card accounts as the accounts must be paid up prior to activating any new service. I hope this answers your question.
Derek
