DISH RV and House

I'm sure someone has done this before. We've been full time for four years and have DISH with two Walley's in the rig. I have a Traveler 1000 on the roof of the rig. What do I need to do to transfer this setup to the house I just bought. I have the rig in an RV port next to my house if that makes a difference. Do I need a separate account? DISH has been no help. We will be using the rig for trips during the next year. So can someone please point me in the right direction.

You'll have to get a Dish tech to set up and align an antenna for the house. As far as they need to know you are just moving from one house to another. In the house you would probably want a Hopper 3 system on the same account and keep the Wallies for traveling in the MH. You could just use the Wallies in the house but the Hopper gives you capability to record 16 channels at once as well as Picture-in-Picture. You could just take the Hopper with you on the road but it should be turned off when traveling due to the hard drive. We have a Hopper in the house with the Joey remotes, as well as two Wallies for the motor home all on one account.

I would establish a new account for your home. That will get you a new Hopper with free install and antenna. As a new account you may also get some discounts on programming.

Once you have a home account you are eligible to have additional Dishplayer in other rooms of your house, or in your RV. Yes, they will treat the RV unit the same as if it were just another house unit. We pay a flat $10/mo for our RV unit and get all of our premium channels when on the road.
