We had the same issue. This replacement cable solved our issue.

DISH Hybrid HD TRAV'LER Replacement Cable (RP-SK42) - Purchase Price: $45.35

I can’t find the part on the Winegard website anymore, so you might want to give them a call - 800.288.8094.

Good luck.

Keep in mind that only 2 of the 3 OEM cables (A and C from base to dish) actually carry signal. So, if you still have 2 of the 3 OEM cables good you can frog them around and be good to go without replacing the cables.

And, actually only C from base to dish is used for the Dish itself to search. A comes into play between the roof and the Dish box called a switch that is in between the Dish and the Wally.

Good luck.

Well the fix was a new satellite dish. Apparently it was wobbly all over—wherever it could be, it was. And, it was 6 plus years old. New dish and controller, all works well. I thank you all for your help, and will file it away for future use if needed. Safe travels!

For you Wingard antenna, I have found DISH customer service useless. If the above video did not help, try calling Winegard.

Glad you got it fixed
We wound up putting a new Travl’er on as well
Mostly to avoid new holes and running new coax
If you have more troubles it will probably be the receiver

I had a 2012 phaeton and the satellite dish that did the same thing. I contacted the dish manufacturer and they told me dish technology changed somewhere around 2013 and that was my probable cause. Bought a new dish and my problem was solved.

Lock on issues

Did you have any luck with this? For months mine wouldn’t lock on Sat 129 but did on 119 $ 120. During most recent trip to Nevada would only lock on 119.

I thought sure it was a hardware issue so today I replaced the LNB with identical. I went through Satellite Set Up on the Trav’ler box and still only one Satellite locked on…119w

I removed every cable and added dialectic grease and retightened and made sure all other hardware is tight.

I am unsure of one issue. Regarding the sliding bracket. There are two rubber nubs in the end which can touch the eyeballs on LNB. I assume the should touch to minimize movement.

Should they?

What is “controller “? Is it the black box? If so, I’m guessing you paid at least $1500?
