Dish Wally - Issues

2014 Allegro Open Road 34TGA with Panasonic TVs (720P). Dish 211z receiver.

No issues with this setup except for the IR remote. Confirmed all was working: receiving all HD channels, local channels, etc. Replaced 211z with Wally and activated with no problems. I have picture on all channels SD & HD, but no audio. If I select, ESPN, get an HDCP error message - no picture, no audio. Have checked HDMI controls on TV - tried various setting but no change; still no audio. HDMI from DVD player works. Switched HDMI inputs for SAT/DVD; DVD audio ok; no SAT audio. Dish tech support has been no help.

Am I missing a setting? Are there any known issues with Wally HDMI or incompatibility of Wally with HDMI cables? Other ideas?

Further troubleshooting with Dish & they believe the Wally receiver is bad. Tech indicated she had worked two issues yesterday with Wally that would not pass audio.

I have a 211k and bought a Wally to replace it. Haven't done it yet but now I need to check this out this weekend.
Thanks for the heads up.

Did you run through the complete setup procedure when you installed the Wally?
I replaced both my 211z receivers with Wally's, did the initial step including check switch and both worked.
BTW. The Wally is UHF and not IR.

Full set up of the Wally was performed, check switch and all of that; then called Dish to activate receiver. When activation was completed, as noted previously, good pictures, but no audio. And then the HDCP error on some channels, e.g. ESPN. Strongly suspect bad Wally receiver, but still trying to trouble shoot.

I had a similiar problem, no sound and the HDCP error message. Just to let you know the HDMI cable was bad.

Once replaced the sounds was working and no longer received the HDCP error on screen. Every channel worked. ESPN, Fox Sports etc.

Received replacement Wally receiver today, activated, and problem resolved. Another Dish tech support person did not have a clue. Called back about 20 minutes later, and was done in 5 minutes.
