Dish Wireless Project Genesis 5G
Found out about this from the our friends at Mobile Internet Resource Center.
There are some caveats but I think it looks promising. I have ordered the service. I'll post how it goes. If anyone else might be a subscriber...I would love to hear your experience.

I have had the Netgear hotspot for about a year. It is not ready yet for a full time internet source. My location was in the first startup and I have one tower that is less than a mile away. Sometimes my download speeds will be in the mid 100's and other times in the mid teens. The upload speed has never been more than 10.
I got it as a spare for when T-Mobile goes down. I use it mainly for internet service. I tried it for streaming, but it would not work.

That’s disappointing to hear Ray. Other reviews I have read were favorable.
I receive the unit tomorrow. We’ll see what happens this way

Let me know how it works. This morning I got a download speed of 138. but the upload was 7. It worked better before Dish got hacked and for a while after that it barely worked.
I have high hopes that it will improve as time goes by. I tried to get in on the trial, but did not. When I saw the first tower getting the Dish antennas I found four more within three miles that got them.
Do you know where any of the towers that have Dish antennas are at? Even though I don't use this for streaming I use it 99% of the time for my laptop and tablet.
FYI - some websites will not work with Dish. There is a Reddit group for this also.

Yes. So far so good. I have it tethered to my existing router as signal strength from it was lower than I need.
Nominally I get around 200mbps down and 15-20 up. Streaming is great and all sites working so far.
I just did a Speedtest. DL is lower this afternoon.

Wow - that is better than what I get. I just checked and my ping was 48, dl was 112, but the upload was 7. Most of the time lately my dl speed is less than 20 and my up is around 2.
Disney+ is one of the locations that will not work with this.

Have you set up your Netgear account yet? I am curious as to what band you are connecting to plus the RSRP, RSRQ and SNR numbers.

Was interested until I learned you have to buy one of two available devices for either $349 or $399.

I saw that Dish5G has dropped the availability of the router as of June. As I understand those that have this service (me) already will continue to be supported.
I hope it comes back. I have had some trouble with the service, but I have to say the customer service is excellent and whenever I call it seems my service is back up!

We have the Genesis Project with Dish, 5g mobile router. We are having problems with watching Paramount+ shows that are to be streamed. We can watch live tv but not "recorded episodes". Has anyone had this problem?
