Double your monthly GIG data for same cost

There is a fantastic deal that has just started. AT&T and Verizon (I am not certain about the other carriers but most likely the same. When one carrier does a special, they all usually follow.). Basicaaly, you can now get twice the data for the same monthly cost. You must call your carrier before the end of this month to elect it. Once elected, the plan will stay in effect indefinitely. For example, with Verizon, I was getting 15 gigs for $130.00 a month. With the election, I now have 30 gigs for $130.00 a month. Now plenty of Internet for surfing and streaming movies.

Sprint went from 10gb to 20gb on the $100 plan last month. And yesterday doubled everything again. 40gb for $100 now.

If anybody has sprint service.

Gee, I get UNLIMITED for around85/month with T-mobile

Unlimited voice
Unlimited Text
Unlimited streaming Music (Pandora, I heart Radio, Live-365 and so on)
6.5 Gig high (4G) speed data+ unlimited 3G data

The key word in all that is UNLIMITED.

Of course there is a flip side.. In the campground where I am currently parked I get Unlimited NO SIGNAL
(Not a problem, Wi-Fi calling works)

Even with these 30gb and 40gb plans, if streaming movies one needs to monitor their usage. I have 20gb plan and can easily exceed it when streaming and using SlingBox.

Good for you. To bad T-Mo coverage is terrible. I guess maybe if you live, travel, and camp only in urban areas it might be OK.
I have true Unlimited data. No throttling down off of LTE after 6.5g, and I get service, including LTE, in most all places. Not just big cities.

Simple. you need to read the REST OF THE LINE..

I said 6.5 Gig of 4G (I hit 6.1 one month) and UNLIMITED 3G

Since I normally use park Wi-Fi, it is a rare month when I hit six gigs on the phone.. (I do a bunch of stuff where I do use the phone's data though)

But even if I hit 6.5, it only drops to 3G speeds which is what I used BEFORE I got the Galaxy S-iii

I called Verizon and they indicated that for the doubling of the data, you must be on a 10gb or higher plan. Is that is what others have heard? We're only on a 2gb plan, rarely have went over the 2gb and really don't need to raise our data to 10gb to get this deal. Maybe I should consider other carriers. I do like the coverage of Verizon though, but would be nice to have an little additional data.

I don't think this is a special...I think it is new rates due to intense competition by AT&T and Tmobile.
