One of the best kept "open secrets" on the web is a web site that gives away commercial software:

They frequently have DVD burning software available - just download and install. No tricks, no charge. Software authors try to get their programs noticed. I've gotten quite a few programs that are of use on that web site.

Looked at that site and will just monitor it for a while.

In meantime - I discovered that I do, indeed, have a video editing software as part of my programs... very limited, however a little practice is giving me the idea of what a better software program can do.

This one has been good enough to finish up a few of my home videos that I have been wanting to clean up and put on a DVD that will actually work.
