FMCA Unlimited Sprint Internet

I have tmo for cell service now i received an interesting notification from Sprint that Sprint is now freely roaming on many tmo towers to eliminate sprint shortness of coverage.

So my curiosity is those with the FMCA plan are they noticing any coverage difference are they indeed seeing improved coverage?

I think it will depend on whether your phone will support the t-mobile bands. Most newer phones will but a lot of older ones are questionable. There is a lot of info on this on you tube by a channel called Sneed Mobile Tech.

Howdy!

I’m considering picking up the FMCA Sprint unlimited plan but I need to find out if it will get a good data signal at my homebase here at the Escapees in Livingston, Tx. We had Sprint years ago when we first started fulltiming and it was the worst for traveling around the country.

The current FMCA and Sprint hotspot is the Mifi 8000L. It's supposed to be the same hardware as the Verizon Mifi.

We're currently at firmware 1V and we've had a few updates since we received it in December as a replacement for the Franklin R910.

We've never been to Texas, though. I just thought you might be interested to know which device they now provide.

Ray, thanks for the information. I recently upgraded y Verizon hotspot with a 8800L. It came with the latest updates and is working great.

Your Sprint hardware almost certainly doesn't support T-Mobile's Band 71 which is an important part of T-Mobile's strategy.

You can find a lot about all of this at the

i understand the band item however even before band 71 tmo had better coverage than sprint.

Considering this one might think they would have better coverage combined but that is theory.

I was more interested in someone's real world experience with this service before and after the merger.
