It's always a crap shoot when you call them for support(or not). My last call the dude didn't even want to troubleshoot at all until I pressed him.
When you can hear paper rustling in the background, you know they are reading from a script.
They also make up stuff if they don't know the answer.
Full discloseure: I am a retired IT network engineer. I can tell when I am being bamboozled. Yes, even degreed folks like me have to call for help sometimes.
To the op:38 is way more signal to activate. I get reception when the signal from my tailgater is in the 20's.
