Garmin dezl760 lmt/465 lmt Question

I am looking to buy a GPS unit more appropriate for RV use. I have checked the features of both units and they appear to be the same except for the screen size. I was hoping other members that have used both, or one or the other could provide some additional insight. Since it won't get used on a continual basis, I hate to spend the additional $$$ if the 465 will provide the same info. Screen size isn't that important for me.

Thanks for all your help.

I have the 760 and love the larger screen. I have had many GPS's in the past of various screen sizes with the 760 being the largest, it is by far my favorite.

Not only is the information easier to read but being able to add ancillary info (current speed, speed limits, etc..) on the screen concurrent with the map without crowding the information is a real asset (for me).

Good luck with your decision - Steve

I have a Dezl 560 which is the same as the 760 except for the screen size and price. It is the second generation of the truck/rv units and seems to have corrected some of the 465 problems. You can do a side by side comparison on the Garmin website.

I had a 760dezl but sent it back. It was just too large. The other worry I had and couldn't figure out was the RV routing. I wanted assurances from Garmin that the 760 would not keep me off non-truck roads when in RV mode. I had read some complaints regarding previous models that would keep the RV off smaller roads to campgrounds for example thinking they were trucks. I'm not convinced that Garmin actually has a separate algorithm for RV's but uses truck info vs. car info.
