I have been using Visible for 9 months, USB tethering as a hotspot is the purpose.
For me:
Is it worth the $40, yes.
Is it worth the $25, yes˛.
If the hotspot speed cap was raised it would be the cat's meow.
As for 3G, Verizon and I assume all carriers, will be moving away from supporting. I talked with a Verizon guy a while back and he said Verizon has stopped activating new 3G devices. I think that was about 1 year ago. I did not verify his statement but I had no reason to doubt it.
