GPS message "route exceeds propane quantity"
Hope this is right forum.
Just plugged address on rand mcnalley gps to take us from Old Orchard Beach, ME to Buzzards Bay, MA. We have gps programmed for rv mode. We are traveling in a coachman freelander, 29qb.
The message on gps asks if we want to route around roads because of propane quality limit.
The propane size loaded in our gps says 20 lbs. The note says the sizes are typically 20, 40 & 100 pds.
Anyone who has traveled this area should we be concerned. Thanks and have a fabulous day.

This piqued my interest so I went looking and found this post at another forum.

Certainly are bridges and tunnels that have total prohibitions on Propane tanks in vehicles. At least your GPS should flag possible problems so you can do your own research

If the GPS really said that, warning you of QUALITY, not QUANTITY, how neat is that, a GPS that warns when the LP is poor.
By the way, some routes through downtown Boston require travel through tunnels or on routes that prohibit propane tanks or limit size. Hazardous Material Route Designation - Highway Division

Thanks for all the assistance. Routing around restrictions.
Funny of quality versus quantity, silly typo.
