Hello Mobile vs Visible

I picked up a Hello Mobile sim to test as a backup for my Visible setup in the rig. I put it in a 4 year old Moto G. Price is the same as Visible, 25/month.
The area I am in (Coastal Bend of Texas) has for me very good Visible service.
I took both phones, out and about to different locations to test speed. It seems that the Hello Mobile phone always gets about half the speed of Visible. In the rig, i get 20M D/L with Visible, 10M with Hello. Out and about, its consistent, if Visible gets 10M, Hello gets 5M. It looks like a viable alternative as a backup if Visible does not work. Hello Mobile is working off the T-Mobile network. Also the ping times for Hello are way better than Visible.

I have been trying Hello Mobile at home. It is NOT an unlimited data plan! I used 19gb and was throttled to .05mb. Customer service said they do slow your speed if you use a extreme amount of data. I don’t think 19gb is extreme!
So I will be saying Goodbye to Hello Mobile.

I was wondering about that. When I asked them about data caps, they said no, but where kind of iffy about it.

Unless it's changed recently, they have a weird, somewhat unclear formula to determine when it slows down.
