In my Monaco, the B&W CRT Monitor, Weldex WDRV-3467M does not work anymore, I was backing up watching the screen and the picture reduced to a tiny white dot at the center and went off, like the good old way CRT are doing... except this was its final one.
I'm leaving soon, and price to replace the unit in Canada is astronomical. I replaced it with a $20 7" LCD Monitor used for car backup camera, I checked the wiring of the 6 pins camera, what I found on the net says it was female view of the camera plug, but in fact it was the male view from behind the monitor... as in this post "http://www.irv2.com/forums/f105/usin...ra-147874.html
" so be careful if you use this pinout.
I removed the old monitor and plugged it on my bench to verify, I then made a small harness to plug the camera on the LCD screen. It is working fine. Basically I made this harness:
RV Cams Weldex 6-Pin Tilt Camera Breakout Adapter
But I am not sure how the tilting is working? On the monitor, doing nothing it seems the pin for MOTOR+ and MOTOR- are outputting 5V, and pressing the up or down button makes the voltage drop to 0V. Is this how tilt should work? If yes I can put a small 12v to 5V device (usb car charger) and wires buttons to do the same thing.
Same for defogging. When on the monitor I press the defog button, the small red LED lit, but I see nothing different on any pin of the camera plug?
Any expert on the weldex camera system knows how the tilt is working?
Thanks in advance
